  • Happy Mother's Day

    To my mother and to all my sisters, sisters in law and friends who are mothers....

    What you do is so important.

    Mel often refers to herself as 'just a stay at home mom' but there is no 'just' about it. I see what you all do and how you do it and feel the difference that you make and will make in the world by raising intelligent, well adjusted, happy kids who know who they are and where they come from and who are aware of the responsibilities that they have to make the world a better place.

    I see each of you excercising such love and compassion and infinite patience. I see you taking joy in the funny things your kids do and say and in the things that they learn and the good that they already have begun to do.

    I see you gently correct behavior with love and kindness.

    I see you sacrifice so so much for your kids. You all amaze me. I am awed by you, proud of you and love each of you so much.

     to our own Mom....

    is there a better friend? a better example? a better person to model ourselves on as mothers and as women? Kind, INFINITELY PATIENT, loving, funny, intelligent, a leader by example and her mere presence not by force or command, true, honest, a good teacher, a true friend... I could go on and on :)

    (sorry to Jess... i don't have any pics of you pregnant :( xxxx but know you are included in all of this and that our thoughts and prayers are with you and your little one and that with all our hearts we are hoping things continue to improve and go well x love to you and Mikey x)
