  • Day One...

    Sooooo.... 

    I am really tired. It was a nearly 11 hour day!!!!! 8 am to 6:50!!! I suppose I used to pull super long days when I was traveling to and from Yorkshire everyday too.... but it feels lots different.

    It was good. I really like my new boss a lot. Fact: he is only a year older than me and is the vice president of marketing and sales for 3 major companies and several small ones.... sigh.... we will not dwell on this....

    it is a much quieter atmosphere than my job at Summit and it is going to be a lot more varied and require lots and lots more creativity, which makes me happy.

    But even better.... mom and dad's interior designer says she has a client with a painting that has smoke damage and she has taken a fist full of my newly designed and printed cards... (way better than the ones I posted here earlier) :) so maybe I will get a smokey picture in my studio soon :) and also I spoke with Ian Cryer on Sunday.. he is an insurance agent (and interestingly enough from Manchester) here in town and he took some of my cards too... he says they work with restoration companies all the time but those companies don't deal with paintings and that I would be a good contact for them :) here is hoping. 

    I am to dreamland. I am shattered and have to get up early again x
